I saw a post on facebook about the new Cardabilities Challenge #118 and thought the sketch was great so I decided to enter.
Below is the lovely sketch. Isn't it fabulous.
I love the soft colors I used on this and it was a real joy putting it all together. The flower is Tattered Blossom from Heartfelt Creations and the leaves are the classic leaf also by Heartfelt Creations. The scroll triangle die is by Spellbinders, called Gold Elements One.
The copper colored embossed stamps and the sentiment are from Hot off the Press and I used Prills in the center of the bloom. The die under the flower is called Arianna Lace and it's by Heartfelt Creations. This was such a fun make. I encourage you to give it a try below is the web site to enter the challenge.
So here is the link to enter Challenge #118 and the Flying Unicorn is the sponsor for this challenge. So the winner will receive a wonder gift from the Flying Unicorn.
I would love for you to leave me a comment. I hope this inspires you to create something beautiful today. Blessings... Diane
Well it's been quite an unusual week in Dallas, Texas. We have had freezing temps, ice and snow. Since I don't enjoy driving in this type of weather, I decided to hunker down in my craft space and create. I would like to share a couple of cards that I have made recently.
I made this card using the Arianna Blooms Collection from Heartfelt Creations. This card measures 6 X 6. First, I stamped the image and colored it using Prisma coloring pencils and mineral sprits. I used an oval scalloped die to cut the completed colored image and matted it with the next size up oval die in matching blue cardstock.
I stamped and cut the blooms out of matching blue cardstock and shaped the flowers. The leaf swirls are a Sizzix die called Butterflies and Flower vine that I cut from white cardstock and then lightly inked with a green stamp pad.
The sentiment came with the Arianna Blooms Collection and I embossed it on white cardstock with gold embossing powder and my heat gun. Then I bordered it with the matching blue cardstock. I cut a separate piece of card measuring 5 3/4 X 6 and I used a Martha Stewart punch called doily for the border around the east and west edges. I completed the embellishing with pearls and there ya have it. Done. I hope this card inspires you to make something beautiful today.
Hi. I am a blessed wife and mother of a wonderful 6 yr old little boy. I have always had some type crafting in my life. At a young age my mother taught me how to sew on our family pool table, which I thought was so cool. Then as teen a family friend taught me cross stitching and I did that up until I saw an Anna Griffin Christmas card making kit on HSN for sale. I bought it and haven't looked back. I love it. I'm addicted. Anyways, I hope you enjoy my site and I hope you are inspired to create something beautiful. I am looking forward to hearing your comments and hope you come back frequently to see what I have for you. Blessings and Peace to you. Diane
